    No4T copy for £1100

Recently saw a No4T copy for sale for £1100, thought erm thats cheap. I asked whether the scope was a repro at which point some pictures were sent. Having looked at the pictures and cross checked with a well known book about them, it seems it was a genuine Mk1 scope. I rang em and asked for any details of the rifle, TR was mentioned below the serial and a T on the left side of the action. The rifle was dated 1942 ser U12939, I said you may get the £1100 for the scope and mount alone if theyre genuine and a lot more if the rifle is. Rifle quickly removed from add. I wonder

I must confess that I normally adopt a less moral negotiating position at moments like this. Merlin266 I salute you!

If they thought the rifle was worth £1,100 originally, makes you wonder why they didn't do the research themselves and discover that it's possibly worth rather more...

A good deed, unless you were hoping to buy it yourself... in which case 'Doh!'

I already have one😊 however I'm sure I could have found room for another.
