A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. A Fazackerly No.4 Mk.1(T) would be quite a find. But the inclusion of spare pads and such? Hmmm...

I had requested some pics from seller before I'd seen this post. Looks to be a fairly crude attempt at a copy from the pics, although I do believe the seller was probably acting in good faith and believed it to be legit - the search continues.............

Funny how "acting in good faith" always seems to be involved with hyped-up appraisals. I'm waiting to find an "actor in good faith" who undervalues something, and no, I'm not holding my breath.

To be a little friendlier to the seller, he did write "A restoration not going ahead so selling all as one."
Noting the repeated mention of the word "original" applied to individual components, my interpretation is: the seller acquired a lot of individual bits which may all be original enough, but the complete assembly is not an original ex-factory or arsenal configuration.
