    1917

Found this one for sale in a local group. Kind of confused with the stock. Anyone seen a 1917 with a stock like this? Seller says the stock is original

The rear sight is a Redfield, front original. Seller is asking 400. I am leaning towards no but since I am new and not familiar with that stock, I figured I would ask. Thanks for any input.

Thanks Henry. I had no idea what kind of stock that was. Learn something new everyday.

That is all we can hope for, to keep learning and enjoy the process. I just appreciate the fact that now I have a different idea to look into.

If it were me I'd save my money for a piece that didn't get Bubba's love. You'd be more then halfway there.

Why worry about the stock, when the receiver (ears removed) and barrel (shortened) have been totally FUBARed? Stocks can be patched, adapted or replaced. But the receiver and barrel are messed up forever.

  10. Thank You to Patrick Chadwick For This Useful Post:

I can't believe that I missed something so obvious (the receiver)

There's nothing original on that gun. Everything's been altered.
    Regards, Jim
