Something i have had here for a few years, thought i would share as there doesn't appear to be another around. I have more pictures and will upload them when the system is being more friendly to me!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. If you have a copy of 'The British icon

Sniper" its on pg 31. Fits over the butt of the SMLE. And is basically a periscopic sight. My example is broad arrow with inspectors markings and " N" possibly for Navy marked.

We had an old cardboard box containing about 10 spare prism and stem assemblies for those! All in original paper and card packaging.

Must have been quiet easily damaged, this one has a very small shard missing from a corner of the prism. works perfect though.

You lucky devil! That's quite a find..........& beautifully marked up, too. I have one of the spare prism assemblies that a pal gave me many years ago, but that's all. It's a really fascinating piece of history that you've got there.

A much revamped and modified version of the periscope rifle Beech developed at Galipolli though some would contest that the troops on the Western front had earlier already asked or built an example similar to the one at Galipolli
