    Picture Posting Practice

It's a sunny day today and I thought I would let the boys out for some fresh air & sunshine. I'm also practicing picture posting so bear with me if something weird happens. The attached photos are of my military style long guns with their bayonets attached. Starting from the back or top is:

    Turkishicon Mauser 8mm, 1942
    M1891 Argentineicon Mauser
U.S. M1917 Remington (06-18 barrel) Enfield with Remington bayonet
    No. 4 Mk1*1 Longbranch, 1944
    M1903 Springfield (1934) w/new old stock 08/42 Springfield barrel
M1icon Garand, June '44 Springfield receiver w/VAR Danishicon barrel
M1 Carbine, Underwood w/12/43 Underwood barrel

As money allows I need to get a Russianicon 7.62 x 54, a Carcano, an Arisakaicon & maybe a Frenchie (what did they use?).

P.S. The M1903 has a 16" bayonet, the Garand has a cut down 10" bayonet.

Man, you got an ARSENAL there.

Good thing guys like you and I never "Lose It". Of course the anti-gunners think we are all just a blasting cap in the brain from going off the deep end.

Even though most of us have had guns and ammo for decades ......

Hey, if I do go off the deep end, I can blame it on being subjected to abuse at Parris Island some 40+ years ago.

Mosin Nagants are still available at popular prices, don't know about the Carcanos. As to the Frenchicon it depends on your time period. World War 1 the French used the Lebel which was really already at least obselescent, and the Manlicher Berthier which was an improvement but still not really up to the competition. 8 mm ammo for those rifles is becoming quite hard to find. The Mas bolt rifles adopeted right before World War 2, and Mas semi autos adopted right after were good weapons and the ammo is more available.

Just remember, French bolt guns don't have safetys.

    Cool pictures by the way
