Swedish Husqvarna rolling block help

I just purchased this Swedish rolling block conversion from a military RB made for the hunting market. I think the caliber is some sort of .45 black powder express cartridge. Any data would on the cartridge and gun would be appreciated.

First post and hopefully i did everything right. i hope the pictures uploaded correctly

So I would hazard it is in the 450 BP range but what cartridge may take some finding can you find any caliber stamping's on the rifle perhaps under the front hand guard

I would think your Swede Rolling Block would be chambered for the 11.5x51R Danish Remington cartridge (45 Danish) quite a lot like the US 45-70
but .90 inch shorter. Not difficult to make up cartridges

I would suggest doing a chamber cast before proceeding.

Under the hand guard is a serial number and a mar with the letters c-a-p. The numbers are in the same font as the serial numbers on my military Carl Gustav RB

this thread might be a place to start. none of them jump out as exactly the same but them there was some that I couldn't make heads or tails of.

As Merle suggests a chamber casting and go from there whilst fiddly it will give you exact measurements of the chamber dimensions you need this may save you some grief later on you can them wade through the volumes of cartridges to get an exact match, dont suppose you have an emty case to picture and the base for any marks! good luck

first two photos show a Remington 1902 converted to 45-70 for blackpowder shooting, also shows why the longer 45-90 and 45-100 were sometimes difficult to chamber because of the hammer. Sometimes shooters ground off the top of the hammer to easy chambering the longer cartridges.

Third photo is an old old Remington 43 cal from South America converted to 22 rim fire with new wood and a new trigger
