    New additions to collection

    Came across these from a chap that was moving these are all I brought as not working = low $'s but I had some bargaining power as he was moving tomorrow so got almost the pick of his lot there was more I wanted but could not afford it.

    L-R ~ Centurion 20PDR smoke round has well made cast resin mock up fuse, 30mm Aden round not a DEFA (I have heaps of those), 37mm projie (I have a 1943 case for this one) it also has a hole in the side for another screw in part to go any ideas guys;

    Markings on 37mm projectile ~ P.A 2-42, Fuze - P D M66, Lot 2 - 15535 - 119 on the driving bands Lot 1 - 155, 1941 - O W S - 37mm M54.

    The last picture is of my 37mm case with the projectile in it to complete the round happy as have waited 12 years for a 37mm projectile to complete that shell case

    Lastly a small bomblet from either the Korean war or SVN conflict does not look much but being dropped from 40,000 feet up it would hurt if it hit your head. As usual the 303 round on the left for scale.

    Out and about for display in my room mrclark303 to hard to wrap them up. The larger caliber stuff is very hard to come by here where I reside the seller also had a 90mm TD shell case I wanted and a complete 6pdr shell but sadly ran out of $'s but I am happy with what I purchased and that's the main thing also thanks for the replies.

    Would the side hole in the 37mm shell be the main fuse pocket, mounted on the side of the shell to delay the initiation of the main charge until the shell had achieve maximin penetration???

    It does state "P.D." on the shell. Could this mean penetration/delay?

    "PD" means point detonating. That kind of fuse would be on an exploding round, area dispersion. Anything for AP is solid shot.

    I went back?

    O.K had a sleep on it and all I could see was that 90mm shell case and 6Pdr round so I contacted the chap and he still had them sooooo another 350klm round trip and they now reside in my room I am blessed to have an understanding wife who gives me enough leash to hang myself which I have done quite well this time, no not really it got approved when I told of my wishes to have them both.
    I knew the projectile from his 6Pdr was cactus looking like my spare one but I had an OS brand new one with driving band on my shelf so would put the two together and there you go a nice 6Pdr complete round. The only down side is he has polished them up losing the patina but you cannot have everything as usual a 303 round on the left for scale.
    You will notice the 6Pdr with the old cruddy shell in it then the last one with my NOS 6Pdr solid
    Markings for the 90mm = 90mm Mk 9 1943 nothing else

    However the 6Pdr is a treasure trove with the following =
    6Pdr, over
    V
    Crown over
    N
    Then = 20, M F, W A inside a circle, A N, 1937

    Merry Xmas & Happy New Years to all in Milsurps land
