    1903a4

This is a pic of my 03A4 4996151 1-44 when I got it it was very nice and never refinished all correct mix of park and blue parts however someone badly sanded the C stock so I found a correct simi grip 03A4 stock to replace it. THe new stock had a rebuild stamp on it so I went with a M84 stock as it was cheaper and would be correct a rebuild. Given that the rifle is correct except for the stock should I go through the time and expence to look for a correct stock and weaver scope or just leave it as is

The scant grip stock is a correct stock for an A4 particularly one in that sn range (late 43/ early 44).
Finding an original A4 stock with the "C" profile and all the correct markings; and an M73B1 with rings all in a condition which matches the rest of your rifle will be a challenge. Short of a minor miracle I would think the cost of the pieces would have you knocking on $2,000.

    Regards,

    Jim
