Yup, that's the plan. The adjustable plug came today and that's exactly what the directions say to do. Also picked up a nice book by Jerry Kuhnhausen "The U.S. .30 Caliber Gas Operated Service Rifles - A shop manual volumes I & II" After I read up some on this rifle and get to where I feel comfortable with how it's supposed to work we'll take her to the range and see what develops. Before shooting I want to do a complete strip and inspect all the parts and lubricate the action.
