Note the three prong flash hider, Faz cocking handle etc.

A good sized batch ( thousands) went to European dealers when the war reserve L1's were disposed of.

It would be interesting to see if any of these are to the final FTR spec with late 1989 manufactured Parker Hale Barrels, Gas blocks and cocking handles.

What a waste of good rifles!

The TMH was stripped and repainted, so not just a dealer quick blow over with Matt black.
John, I’d say these are the ex war reserve, I’ve said a few times but one of the dealers in Gun Mart was selling ex Donington L1A1’s in the wrapper for £350 ( Section 5) that was some time back though about 25 years ago.

Denzo tape ………. Great stuff , but not great when your on a ships deck in sub zero temps trying to remove it from exposed hydraulic fittings to find a leek , even on the warm side of a bow or stern door wasn’t a barrel laughs Either , part of the old job I don’t miss ……

Cheers Geoff, a batch of these appear to have hit the market of late, crying shame to 'chop' them!
