L1a1 magazines

I’m trying to build my first fal an Aussie rifle and want inch pattern magazines but I can’t find any magazine floor plates available to assemble them or complete magazines under $60 could I use metric magazines in a inch receiver or build it on a metric receiver and forget about proper magazines

Metric mags fit the inch receiver but aren't as stable without the big front lug. You aren't doing fire and movement so you should be ok.

If you have a metric receiver and inch barrel there may be a thread issue joining them?

Okay I’d like to go inch receiver abs match the l1a1 kit do you have all the dimensions of a l1 floor plate maybe I could make several floor plates

I don't...don't even have one to measure. Do you have a metric mag to compare? If the base fits you can measure from there, using a sheet metal press and brake? Don't forget the distance plate between the spring and base that locks things in place.
