    Brodie Helmet ID?

Picked up this Brodie helmet at a show for what I felt was cheap. Didn't really inspect it, only knew that it was one of the helmets I'm missing and want to know more about it. No stamps, a really simple strap, and a liner I can't find on google images.
I don't think it's a reproduction, it has aging, rust, dust, and that peculiar smell you just can't replicate. The liner is nice, and is made of rubberized cloth, attached to a composite? band with staples, and that is riveted to the shell. The strap is very primitive and lacks the features found on other helmets I've seen.
Anyone familiar with this type of helmet?

I'm thinking that maybe it's a US Doughboy helmet, refurbed at some point, rather than of Britishicon/Commonwealth/Belgiumicon/Dutch origin.
