Wayne told me this pistol is in War Baby III on page 1629 and it sold for $7500. I never noticed it, but haven't had my copy since back during the Covid lock down. I'm going to try again this weekend to get it back. But I swear I will never loan out ANY books again. Years back I loaned out some really expensive Scuba Divers Charts on 4 of the Great Lakes with known and unknown shipwrecks marked. Some had their cargo listed, one of which went down on the way to Milwaukee with a load of brand new Ford Model T's. All kinds of different cargo and time periods. Some dating to Pre-Civil war and much older. A large stack of books went with these. If I had to guess that collections value was over $6,500.00. That 'Friend' moved never to be heard from again.

I've looked to see if a Patent was applied for or given to George F. Grebey for his Prototype Carbine Automatic but found nothing. Say's he designed it for Paratroopers or Special Ops troops. Seems like it would have been a handful being 14" long with a 15rd Carbine mag in it. The Grips remind me of those like on my S&W Victory Revolvers.

Anyone else think that might be some type of muzzle flash hider / recoil check on the muzzle ?
I'm surprised there wasn't a short butt stock assembly option for or with it.
I have a early version of a Crosman Backpacker pellet air rifle/pistol combo with the removeable stock or pistol grips. Similar stock / pistol grip I thought of as a option for the Grebey Prototype Carbine. I still often pack it in the canoe just for kicks. This picture is a newer version than mine....... close, but newer.
