M1916 Holster "spreader" or toe insert or whatever it"s called help

I have a decent condition M1916 holster (a Bucheimer) that's somehow missing the little insert or plug or barrel rest or spreader thingy that's supposed to be inside the bottom of the holster. Does anyone know where I might find a proper replacement for it? Over the years I've seen both leather and plastic there, just never saw one without one!

Here's a set of drawings that if you take a bit of care can be printed off to life size to reproduce. If you look at the guy's work on the thread he speaks in, he reproduced a 1912 and a 1916 holster perfectly...
