    MkII** Civilian Target Rifle

Good day, gents. Time to come out of the shadows a bit and stop just lurking here. I used to be a very active member here about 10-15 years ago, and then a bunch of life things happened and I wound up getting out of collecting and restoring rifles, and actually never even fired a round for a few years.

Anyway, I'm back now. I've been actively collecting for a year again, focused on Ross rifles, mostly those off the commercial line, but there have been a few military pieces follow me home as well as some oddities.

Here is one of my nicer ones, a recent arrival. MkII** Civilian. This one is in really nice shape, with a good bore. Its fairly early for a rifle with no barrel sight, although it may have been reworked it does not have the classic barrel number on the reinforce. This one has 32 marked on the port side of the reinforce. A bubba rifle in my inventory has a similar mark: 34B on the reinforce on the starboard side.

That's a beaut. They were a world-beater on the ranges
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

    Edward Bernays, 1928

Much changes, much remains the same.
