    B/Day Surprise for me.

My wife surprised me on Thursday sneakily booking a holiday for herself.
So when I got up at the usual time it was a bit of a shock as I thought she may be feeling ill.
Not to worry she decided that it would be nice to stay home and share a day with me on my birthday that was pretty cool.
We went for a M/C ride and decided to go to AMX as my Shoei is getting a bit long in the tooth, we did order new inserts for it though.
So she said pick out a helmet you would like, it came down to a Shoei and the HJC, I chose the latter with the smoked screen was $1599/Aud.
Came with an extra big rear scoop (Not for me left it off) pinlock and tear offs, bought a smoked screen as I have always ridden with one.
I am very fortunate to have such a person in my life that makes my days as happy as can be this one was no exception but just that bit more special.

*Plus the MotoGP are in America at the moment so well timed I reckon*

Nice piece, very generous of her. I rode a bike when I was 16/17, a helmet was a "Bell" helmet and cost $30 or so... The price doesn't surprise me now though.

Think the full carbon fibre ones set you back around the $2.5 - $3K/Aud mark.

Yep. My first was a Shoei full face. Price was $250 in the '80s. I've got it in the attic and it weights a ton. Things are different, eh?
