    When I first mounted my "Sheet Metal" weaver mount on my M44. It needed to be "bent". I tightened the rings on a broom stick and bent and centered the mount easily using the long barrel as a guide.

    Shimmed the mount with a piece of plastic and got it boresighted pretty close. Going to the range tomorrow.

    Well, I've given up on the factory mount. Going to get a Havlin mount, 1" rings and 1" to 3/4" sleeves for the rings. The optics on the scope I have are just about perfect and I like the vintage look.

    The Havlin mount is great. Rifle shoots better than me.
