Thanks for the data. I have a 421431 SA that I am restoring. I saw a -2SA
RE5A for sale on the
CMP trader forum and got excited and thought for a minute I had found the bolt I needed. I didn't have my references with me at work and couldn't remember which one I needed.
I think RE4A might have been used in November of 1941. I have a round firing pin, the flush nut sights, short channel GHS stock (not pretty, but readable), stock ferrule with intermediate size hole, uncut 6 SA op rod, narrow base gas cylinder, complete correct trigger group, grooved handguard clip, early "8" follower assembly, early SA buttplate, 12-41 barrel (no chrome, breech in the white), single slot gas cylinder screw, rear sight cover with symbol near bottom, some of the parts in the "white" (like op rod catch & hammer spring housing), and pretty much everything except the right bolt.
Lots of challenging parts on this early SA, but it is getting close.
Thanks for the help.
