BATFE would not know you were buying an AR-15 an old bolt rifle or a shotgun every week. The form only ask if it is a long gun, handgun or other (indicating a receiver). Even buying a handgun every other week or even every week will not raise a red flag at a FFL shop as the multiple purchase form is if it is within 5 business days. Now the vendors who buy and sell without a FFL at every gunshow, are not selling a private collection or even improving on their collection. They ARE dealing without a FFL, making a profit without paying income tax or is sales tax being collected. That is the gunshow loop hole that WILL be closed. You want to sell something you no longer want or someone is willing to give you way more than you ever expected to get for it, no problem. If you want to buy something no problem.
The laws are set up that you can do all this as long as the transaction is legal where you live and where you buy. If you can't own a firearm because of laws in your State or city, or you do not qualify because you are not a citizen or legal alien then you can't by and the "non-FFL" vendors are acting as Straw purchasers. A BIG Flag for the ATF.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. ATFE has already stopped gun sales at local flea markets here in my hometown. Now signs are posted at flea markets, "NO GUNS". Fact. That's all I've got to say about that.
