One further word about Korean M-2 with the PS headstamp. When there was a lot of it available, some lot numbers were reported as problematic. A few were described as dangerous. A list was composed detailing those lot numbers reported by shooters to be either safe, problematic or dangerous. You might want to look at your lot numbers to make certain just exactly what has been reported on your ammunition. Sincerely. BruceV.

AFAIK, CMP
has never sold any Korean ammo. Greek HxP, Danish
, and LC, but no KA or PS.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Korean PS ammo except for a few bad lots. For the most part the PS Korean is quite accurate and clean burning. Good, non-corrosive ammo. I shot over 1500 rounds of it I bought from Cabela's a few years back. All of it was PS 75 and I never had one mishap or failure. It shot every bit as good as HXP ammo without the extra recoil and soot.
Now, having said that, I wouldn't shoot the KA Korean crap in any rifle. Dirty, stinky, corosive and inconsistent ammo from lot to lot.
Here is the data I have on the bad lots of Korean PS:
PS 2-027 (one positive report based on unknown number of rounds fired)
PS 2-033 (BAD? - one report - unspecified problem)
PS 2-035
PS 2-083 (one positive report based on less than 200 rounds fired)

On a personal note, I've fired several hundred rounds of Lot PS 2-172 with good results.

At last count I have fired a little over 2,000 rounds of the Korean M-2 PS-75 in my Rem. 03-A3 and my SA 5.9 LEAD rebuild. In every respect function and on target results have been excellent. Using this ammunition I have done well in local club vintage military rifle matches. Sincerely. BruceV.

It's not the powder in any ammo that's corrosive. It's the primer.
Spelling and Grammar count!
