I picked up a really nice No4 MKI at a sale in Denver last week and I've been trying to sort out exactly what I've got.
It was a whim... but it was sooo pretty, I couldn't walk away!
It appears it's factory sporter that has been FTR'd but the front sights are the mil sights without the sight protector, short forarm, no upper handguard and rear 300/600 peeps.
It appears that the barrel may have been shortened a bit as the bayonet lugs are only 3/8" from the bbl crown.
I'd like to bring it back to the No4 MKLconfiguration and I've seen an ebay ad for a complete new MKll stock set.
Question: Are the MKLand the MKll forearms sets the same? I've got ~28" from the back of the forearm to the front edge of the front sight band.
I shoot in NRA Highpower compitition (service rifle, AR15) but once in awhile, they have a vintage match and I'd like to compete there too.
Thanks,
