A.C.Co. 1917 & Camillus M2
Got these two in case I ever feel like stabbing something, or if I wish to look extra-dangerous buttering toast.
One never knows...
The A.C.Co. Knuckle has tiny spots of tiny pitting in two finger sized areas on the sharp edges of the spike---someone's careless handling marks.
The Camillus Navy M2 is just outright perfect.
From an estate here in Omaha, $460 US the pair.

Acc and Mk2
Krinko- I would say you made a fantastic deal. Trench knife alone is worth more than that. The M1917 scabbards are going for serious money these days. Mint Camillus MK2 is at least a couple hundred. Great find. SKIP

Thanks for the confirmation, Skip---I thought I was stealing them and now I am certain of it.
I'll try to make it to confession Saturday night.

From the same estate, a USN Mk2 by KA-BAR in a fold over sheath.
I'm glad I don't collect knives, or this thing could get out of hand.

Krinko-Looks like the good deals keep coming your way. Is the Ka-bar a blade marked or guard, and is the pommel a screw-on type or pinned? Also the last one piece scabbard I saw was on a PAL MK2, so it's interesting to see they were used by other manufacturers. SKIP

Skip,
The Ka-bar is guard marked and the pommel isn't pinned like the Camillus---but I don't see how it could be screwed on. The exposed end of the tang is rectangular, like the Camillus and has been peened over to retain the pommel.

Acc M1917
Krinko- Sorry I was tired, ment to say peened. But, the very early Camillus and Kabars had a tang that was threaded on the end and had a small nut that was screwed in. I have a mint early Camillus made that way. They were prone to breakage and the designed was changed. Good luck ! SKIP

Short question
Hello to all,
is this knive a Camillus ? I dont know anything about these knives that the U.S. Army use and used. This one got my father in the late 60`s from an GI in Bad Reichenhall. Eventually a member of the Special Forces. But i can see no markings or stamps on it. Is there anyone who knows more ?
Thank you in advance
Regards
Gunner

Short Question
Gunner- Does the knife have a 5",6", or 7" blade? It looks more like a 6" variation made by Case, Kinfolks, Kabar, and others. The blade does not appear to have the thickness, or features of a MK2. Also looks as though all markings were ground off for commercial sale. Almost looks like it could be a 1950's version of a pilot's survival knife. Not sure of anything. Perhaps a few more photos would help. But I do not believe it is a MK2 Camillus. I'm sure the others will have more good input. SKIP

SKIP, Thank you for your answer. The length of the blade is 7" and the thicknes is 3.5 mm. Here are a few pics more. Hope you can find anything. Thank you in advance. The place where he got the knive was not Bad Reichenhall it was Bad Tölz.
