$5 Used GI 15 rounders
Just bought 10 used 15 rounders from a guy in Michigan off of Auction Arms for $5 each. They are GI, look well used, but don't have any rust that I can see. I have about 14 of the 15 rounders already, most in VG to excellent shape, but thought it wouldn't hurt to get some more. Never know, I might get another carbine and need some more!
I only have 10 of the 30 rounders (5) AYPs -real ones, an SEY and AI split back, , 2 "J"s, a Kay in a Circle (same stamp as Vietnam era 30 round M16
mags I have), and one commercial that is one of the better ones.
Do you think that is too many for one Underwood? I think I need that Rack grade Inland I am wishing for!

I remember my Father picking empty mags out of trash cans after the late 60's riots in Detroit. Guessing they were dropped in from the NAT Guard.

Maybe that might be pushing it for one Carbine. But can you ever have too many? Get a few more guns to go with them.
I keep 3 mags for each gun. Two in a mint stock pouch not mounted on the gun, and one in the gun. With correct maker markings supposedly assigned to them. Though you know they didn't get issued with correctly marked mags per maker, maybe some.

My issue weapon in the Air Force (1956-59) was a M1
Carbine. I fired one all of three times in my four years in service. Our carbines were kept in the squadron weapons room, and we checked them out like a library book during alerts. We were issued 1, GUN, Carbine, cal..30 M1, with sling and oiler. 1 POUCH, ammo, 1 MAGAZINE, 15 round, 10 rds, AMMO, Ball, Cal..30 Carbine.

$5 Used GI 15-rounders
I just bought nine of the same from him; they should get here late this week. He seemed accommodating when I told him I had an IBM carbine, and was looking for the same mags (I'm compulsive, even when, as here, not required). I just got my first carbine when I visited the North Store a couple of weeks ago (I posted a report back on 9/12). I had it shipped and it just arrived Thursday after an extra trip to my old address in MD. I've been reading up since, and disassembled it to see what I got. Let's ee if I can post pictures:

10 rounds
When I was in the MPs in the early 70s, they gave us one 1911A1, 2 magazines, and 10 rounds. Of course, I had given a case a beer to the armorer, so I had a bunch of FULL 7 round mags in my brief case, with the correct lot number of the ammo we were using. When I went into Criminal Investigation, they gave a 2 inch model 10 S&W round but (a six shot weapon) and 10 rounds of ammo. Of course, the same deal with the armorer was reached, and I had speed strips full of WCC 130 grain FMJ 38. I think the peace time Army loved the ease of count by tens!

Cheap mags
Back when I did gunshows in the late 80s early 90s, I would pick up cubical boxes with 50 M1
carbine 50 rounders, still in the brown crinkled wrap for a buck a piece from an Israeli former IDF guy named "Yasha" who had an import business in So Cal. I got NIW 25 round Uzi mags packaged much the same way for about $4-5 each.
