Production numbers?
Does anyone have a good count on the number of No. 4 Trails rifles that were made? I'm thinking I read 3,400, but can't seem to find it in Ian's tome.
Is there a web site that has a listing of the production numbers of the various Enfield marks? There was a great posting of the Long Lee production numbers on GB's a few days ago. That would make a great sticky. Or is it already, and I missed it?
Thanks,

I found the following in Ian's "Buyer's Guide for the Lee-Enfield" -- Production Figures & Factories (page 47) -- No.4 MkI trials -- approx. 2,500.
Not an exact, but I hope it is of some help!
ADDITIONAL INFO:
Ian's the Lee-Enfield states the following on pages 212:
"This makes a total of 2,479 No.4 trials rifles. It is pointed out that this figure does not include the nominal 1,000 No. 1 Mk VI rifles manufactured in 1929-30 because by 1933, the distinction had been made between the No.4 and Mk VI patterns of new rifles."

As long as the roads are in good condition, I will be there.
I am going to the Indy 1500 Gun & Knife Show this weekend. I went to the Bill Goodman Show last Saturday in Dayton, OH. Didn't see much, but I did pickup two slings and a Mk 1 backsight (Faz).
