I wish, I wish....
I wish I did! There are a couple over there that got late ones, but one was handstamp "1" in M1
and 6,9XX,XXX! I think it is all Inland except bolt and safety.
WIth my luck, when I can finally get the $$$ to get a CMP
, I'll get a minute of milkjug fencepost mixmaster. I used up all my carbine luck up with the early Winchester (which I let get away), and the tack driver Underwood (which I didn't let get away).

I have always told my offspring units that, yes, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. With carbines, someone always has a "more orginal" carbine than me. Thats fine. But I got mine, and I am fortunate enough to have what I have, in the condition that they are in, and they shoot as good as they do... and my kids (or maybe grandkids??) will be able to appreciate them and get to enjoy the M-1 Carbine magic that we have all come to know... Yea, look, admire, and drool - but don't forget the grass that you have is pretty tasty on your side of the fence. Remember, the poor guys in New Jersey can't even own an ugly, pitted, cracked stock carbine....
Now, with that said, I wonder what I need to put on a sticky note on my next CMP
order form to get one just like he did!
