M1C value
a few years ago I purchased a M1C from the CMP
auction. It has a 1-52 barrel. I got the correct mount, a Alaskan Lyman scope that Dave McClain said was in the correct serial number for a 51 rebuild, a 52 dated checkpad , and a hart cone flashhidder. I was just wondering what the coming offering of Cs & Ds from the CMP was going to do to my M1Cs value

CMP
auctions are their own world. It does not alter the real world at all. No idea what you paid at auction, but highly likely more then what it was worth then and now.

I guess it will depend on the prices the CMP
sets and the number of each condition they have. They usually price things to sell. The sale of 1100 or so M1C's will probably bring the going price for an average M1C rifle down some, although top condition rifles seem to always be strong.
The demand for original scopes and mounts will undoubtedly increase with the release of that many rifles, even with the repro units that have been discussed. That increase will probably offset any drop in rifle values.
