Stripper Clips for 03A3
This has probably been asked a hundred times before, but my search skills are weak.
I've seen postings at other sites that the Swedish
Mauser stripper clips work well in an 03A3. Specifically those from SAMCO which are about $14 for like 40 clips. When I called SAMCO, they told me "they don't work in 03A3's" ??
Does anyon here have experience with, or knowledge of, these clips?
I know one can get more expensive (better) clips from Champion's Choice and Champion Shooter's Supply, for like $5 a pair. I'd sure like to find some cheaper one's that work ok.
Thanks for any help.

Although I don't have any experience with the clips in question, I have a friend who has sucessfully used 8MM Mauser stripper clips in his '03 Springfield with no problems at all.

swedish strippers
the swedish strippers from samco are the slickest working of any, they work perfectly in 03a3 model 17 ,swede 96. 40 for 14 from samco is the best buy i found on them. plus they are stainless and dont have the little tabs that break off of the brass ones.my .02 worth

Strippers????
What about M14
stripper clips, I've got a ton of those, will they work? Only problem is they're still on ammo in the original bandoleers from late 60's.

The stripper clip ends (rounded) need to match the 03 ones. Otherwise it won't push the extractor out of the way when you push it in the slot. That's been my experience.

Thanks for the input. Sounds like the person I spoke to at SAMCO was likely not well informed.
You know........for $14, for 40 of them, I guess it's worth a batch to confirm. Not a very big loss if there's a problem.
