Hi Guys,

I'm the new editor of the Canadianicon Firearms Journal. It is the membership magazine of the National Firearms Association. As a milsurp lover myself, I've always wanted to add more milsurp content and photos to the magazine when I was still just a reader.

As editor I'm now in a position to change that. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to do the in-depth research and take quality photos that are required for a milsurp/firearms heritage feature.

If you'd like to try your hand at writing an article for the magazine, I'm now accepting unsolicited submissions. Preference will be given to Canadian firearms heritage type articles. Length should be around 1100-1200 words. If the story is really good, I have some wiggle room for longer articles up to 2000 words. If it is really, really good we can make it a two-parter!

Submissions should be MS Word (preferably) or text format that MS Word can easily convert.

Please spell check and do basic typo edits before submitting.

Quality photos are a big bonus. Min. 300 dpi standard, but the higher the resolution the better for publication purposes.

Some monetary compensation will be paid, wholly based on length and quality of the work and whether photos are included, etc... Compensation is only made if article is actually published.

Submissions can be sent to me at cfjeditor@gmail.com of natvpc@nfa.ca I prefer the Gmail account.

Thanks for your time!
