I've read about them, but these are the first I've seen.
After looking at some of the photo albums you e-mailed to me, I have to say you have a wonderful collection Jim. After 3 tours in Vietnam your sure deserving of such a fine collection.
Congrats and thanks for always being so helpful along with sharing with us.
Speaking for myself and I'm sure others we'll be anxious to read a reply by MR. Ricca. Our favorite fabric guru ! His work and research on contracts goes above and beyond.
Cheers,
Charlie

I remember seeing them in several SNL's, one being for the Thompson. An SNL means Standard Nomenclature Listing, which is a written publication showing what is used with which firearm.
I do not remember the SNL of the pouch, but it was used in several applications.
Just a note: The ones marked with the 555 drawing number were produced post war, probably 1960's.

Thanks Bill, I knew you would have some kind of information about them.

Outstanding photos and collection Jim!
I still have the unbelievable itemized list of all the manufacturers and types you sent to me years ago.
We need to get you to go out and 'stir' the things up you have more often.
I'd love to see a 'group photo' of all your guns someday too. You are too modest.
I never felt the need to go to CA, but it would be worth the trip just to see everything you've collected over all these years!

Had to grab the camera!!

Don't know why someone had saved the label but it was a nice surprise to find in one of the pouches
. That was all that was left of any original wrapping.

Pouchs
I believe these were designed to be carried in a pocket of the M 1923 cartridge belt, with anything you could stuff in them, parts, screws springs etc.
