Nice rifle. Gotta' ask...does it have a Hatcher hole? Would you give us a hint on the serial number? Love that stock.

I want! Yes, very nice wood! Just curious, with those finger groove stocks, does the number of cross bolts(2, 1, none) give you a hint as to when it was made. The stock that is. Were some converted?

The number of stock bolts does determine when the stock was made. However, many earlier stocks were rebuilt and bolts added. For example, I have an early "high wall" M1903 stock with two stock bolts. It probably started out with none or one.

Sorry I'll pull it down. I PM'ed you and Rick with the requested info. SA receiver 140#### SA barrel is marked 3/31 and is like new plus the rifle has all milled hardware. The stock is circle P and `circle 50 on the wrist and EHD on the left side. I never look at all the details or remember them. I think I gave $300 for it with the long bayonet to an old guy who was dumping his collection just before he passed on. I still have a 100 lbs of parts he left behind.
The only other photo posted of this rifle was in reguard to stock refinishing and going back to that page I see my reply with said info is missing or never got posted. Maybe I hit the wrong icon or something. I do that a lot.
Again sorry for the repost.
