ammo for svt40
I was wondering if 180 grain prvi partizan soft points would function properly in a svt40? Or should I look for something in 150 grain?

Haven't tried 'em. If they feed, just adjust the gas system for best function- start small and work up! (Don't forget the wrench, I did that last time and shot a straight pull all day.)

SVT40 used heavy and light ball issue ammo. 147--176 parameter. CORROSIVE. KEEP IT CLEAN, LUBRICATED/adjusted. I personally use 147 FMJBT non corrosive Easier on gun and me. Gary

Would using the 180 grain round cause excessive wear on the gun? I was'nt planning on using an excessive amount, maybe 1-2 hundred rounds until I can find some 150 grain.

Its about the same weight as Soviet
heavy ball (yellow tip), so technically, its probably OK. Its really more about burn rates and gas port pressure.
