Can't say as I've seen a parkerized Soviet
SKS. I wouldn't really considered a nickle-plated parade rifle to be an "issued" finish, but that's just semantics I suppose.

I sold hundreds back before Klinton stopped the importation of the Ruskies. Stock was blued, some few were black parked but only if rebuilt. Saw no, and I mean NO, painted Ruskie SKS or Albanian (blue), Romanian (blue), hmmmm, there seems to be a pattern here..... Chinese (blue), Yugo
(blue, not counting rebuilt in the USA
), and probably a couple I can't remember, but they were blue also.

parkerized SKS
Well, it arrived today. It is in my hands now, Parkerized Russian
SKS,TULA manufacture, 1953r,bolt,receiver, stock, magazine all match (stock obviously has been around, too rows of x's. Top cover, receiver and barrel are a gray parkerized, gas tube and trigger group blued, trigger group serial number matches every thing else.Bought from a honest SKS collector thinning his herd.Came in with the recent flood of Russian sks rifles into Canada
.I agree, I can find no mention in any of my references about such a finish, but, it's sitting right here in front of me. When my youngest comes home from University on his reading break I'll try to get him to post some pics.
