Type 1 Bullnose Handguard
I have an unmarked, type 1 handguard and am wondering if it could be an early Winchester "bullnose" handguard. I pictured it next to one of the other type 1 HG's that I have. The one in question is to the left in the pictures.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Greg V

It looks like an early Winchester "bullnose" handguard to me.

Thanks Mike. I'm thinking that too, but I have never seen one that someone had confirmed was an actual "bullnose". It does stand out when compared to my other type 1 handguards.

Here is the handguard off one of my Bavarian Winchesters for comparison. Is this a "Bullnose" as well??

My observation is that the bull nose is easily spotted by the shallow channel at the rear and very deep channel at the front, with a square fronted, high nose. I like it as it helps make a visual channel for quick sight picture. I think they are rare, as the one I got from CMP
is the first one that I remember having had out of all the carbines I have had (shooters and trade ins when I had an FFL) since the mid-80s.
