Shipping Garand Stock to Europe Question
Any issues shipping a Garand
Stock to Europe? I've never exported "parts" before. Can it go UPS or via Mail? Thanks, Bob B.

Hi,
for the reason that the stock is not an important part of a gun after our laws ( Germany
) you can ship it in any way you want. I think UPS will be the fastest way and mail is the cheapest. In anyway please pack it very good the shipping guys arent very careful.

That is totally false. If it is a military item you must have an export license. Commercial items can be different depending upon the type of item and the value.

Bill is right. This is not a good place to ask that kind of question. You will get opinions, but probably not qualified accurate information. There are laws about exporting gun parts and I think you should check with the U.S. state department or maybe the shipper could give you the info you need.

Thanks for the replies, the stock isn't worth the headaches, so I'm just telling the guy no thanks. Gunner was refering to German
laws. I'll go with Bill and latigo 1 though, as my concern is legally exporting (US laws) it to Italy
. I've sent and received gun parts from Spain BUT those were not of any "military" configuration. Thanks again! Regards, Bob B.

It depends on the country & the part. Exports are controlled by the US Dept of State, & the United States
Munitions List changes frequently. I refer any overseas buyer to a US exporter, such as: ETSS - Home . Let the buyer have the headaches, & pay what it costs.
