I recently was given an 03/A3 by what you would call a hell of a good friend. I don't have any pictures to show as yet. The only cartouches on the stock is the S & O and an inspectors brand at the lower sling band at the butt "D 1836-4". Also, the butt plate is either worn slick or was originally slick. I would appreciate help with the D - cartouche. Pictures later. The rifle's trigger is smooth as silk and shoots an amazing tight group at less than a hundred yards.
