AR Flat top 16" "F" marked FSB
I am mounting an Aimpoint COMP M3, 2 MOA red dot on flat top upper. FSB is F marked. What riser should I be using? Now have a A.R.M.S. TriLock and it seems low? Matter of fact I know it is low. Eyeball can tell you that. Want to co witness the front sight. Will remove FSB if best idea/solution?
Trying to laser sight and just not getting there?

Do you have a BUIS installed? If so, just measure it's height from the rail to the peep centerline. The figure out the difference, if any, by measuring centerline of the Aimpoint to the bottom flat of the bracket, or better yet to the receiver top.
Generally, most QD mounts don't require a spacer. Don't worry if the dot isn't perfectly centered in it's field of view when looking through the irons- the Aimpoint is parrallax free, so the zero won't shift. You either learn to ignore the front sight when using the dot, or it makes you nuts, and you have to work out an alternate setup.

We have reached critical mass. For the first time in my memory, there were just enough abbreviations in the previous two posts that I have NO clue what was said.

See if this helps: (in no particular order and NOT fact checked!)
BUIS: back up iron sight - in this case just the rear one
COMP: Not too sure it's anything but a model name from Aimpoint, but I never really looked into it
M3: Model of Aimpoint sight- there's also a COMP ML3, and a host of other newer ones
QD: quick detach
MOA: I reckon that one's known well enough, otherwise it's remedial school time
FSB: front sight base
F: F (Meaning the sight base was machined specifically for a flattop model rather than a carry handle model)
A.R.M.S.: ARMS: Atlantic Research and Marketing Something-or-another (the company that makes the QD mount for the COMP M3 that sits fwd of the BUIS on the FT upper...)
ETA: Edited to... Never mind!
Anyway, ARMS stands for Atlantic Research Marketing Systems. Odd name, but generally good gear.
