Got this recently in a lot of parts I bought and im told its an M1 icon

sight instructors device. tried it out but seems difficult to help with persons sight alignment unless their in prone w/sling and somewhat stable.

It was for use as an instructional tool with recruits. It's not for you to help yourself. The instructor can see if the sight picture is correct or off. Although you don't see them around much, I could never get more than a few bucks for them.
