    Hi ladies and gents,

    Can you please help me? I would like to know what this marking means (see pic attached) It's on my Lithgowicon 1919 SHT.LE MKIII*

    It's located just under the rear iron sight.

    High Velocity. It means that the sights are configured for Mk. VII ammunition.

    Mk.VII ammunition isn't very speedy by today's standards, but it was "High Velocity" compared to its predecessors in .303 service rounds.
