A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I think that trigger housing has been blasted and refinished. Safety looks counterfeit, rear sight counterfeit, barrel band doesn't look right, front sight pin has been out at least once, bla, bla, bla!

I looked at this at thought the same things. So , I checked the sellers feed back, and guess who he got a lot of feedback from as a buyer. You guessed it our favorite west coast seller.
I would say that the receiver is real, but that's about it.

I thought the parts looked like west coast specials from George before I read farther and saw he was indeed involved. The safety really gave it away as a George re-prop.

The reason it looks weird is because someone did it with a cold chisel.
