    03a4 barrel

    HI All..
    I need help with this one.....
    A friend found himself an 03a4 barreled action this past weekend with a "Z" serial number.
    The barrel has the correct date ( 9-43 ) and it is a Remington barrel, but it is 4 groove....
    All my information says it should be a 2 groove.
    Also " USN in small letters stamped on the underside ????????
    Any info would be appreciated..
