Maker Identification from serial No
G'day guys,
I am trying to identify my No4 Mk1 there is no makers mark, there is a N59 but have been advised by Peter that there are no makers of No4's with that ID.
Can anyone assist in identifying the Maker by the serial No X28882.
Myles

X2xxxx would make it a Fazakerley. Look on the left receiver wall under the rearsight for some very faint electro-pencil marks. They are possibly painted over.

Thanks Thunderbox,
No marks but this No4's receiver had been sportized and polished before bluing probably removing any trace. I did however find a z.

There have been quite a few No4(T)'s seen in the X32--- to X33--- serial number range.
Those are all BSA Shirley (M47C) made of course.
