Lithgow trip
Here's a pic of the "toys" brought along for show and tell.
If they are good enough, I'll be putting the museum pics together for Badger to collate into a walk around tour. There is the Museum's own display room as well as the "Ron Hayes Collection" (hundreds of handguns!) upstairs. I have pics of every case and display in both rooms, as well as other items manufactured by the factory over the years.
Any firearm enthusiast coming to Australia
needs to take the short detour out of Sydney and spend a morning at least... there really is something there for everyone.
PS, keep an eye open for the famous director from YouTube, our very own JollyGreenSlugg, and his latest footage of my green tarp...

I'll resize a few later to post. The ones for the walkaround tour will need to be hi-res, so it'll take a bit to upload into photobucket.

The Museum was a bit old hat to me as I visit 2-3 times a year.
The best bit was enjoying the company and conversation of like minded addicts in the knowledge I won't have to explain the difference between a #5 and a #6, as their subject knowledge complimented or exceeded mine. Egos and attitude did not exist but light hearted ribbing was employed regularly over the course of the weekend.
I can now see why Alcoholics Anonymous is so popular. To really connect, you have to converse with a true addict.

The colour of my "Thanks" pretty much matches the colour of my face right now.
Just thought you'd like to know.

Seven in one photo but the knowledge that there is alot more in safe hands. Then even more rare Single Shot , No6s, S&L with bayonet and a lever shottie. The museum was mind numbing and must agree with Lithy about addicts and the humour.

Just on the thoughts of the blokes, I would suggest that ten or twelve will not be a problem next year.
Here's a couple of pics, one of an Enfield Rifle
Rest (as was sold here at the auction a month ago for ten grand!) set up with rifle and layerscope, with the instructions/ requirements. Then an updated pic of the rising sun emblem featuring one rifle from every year of production with bayonet. You'll notice there is a hole... they filled the 1923 slot before I found mine, but still need a 1937 rifle.
Expand the pics out to full size to get the most out of them.
