SA Bolt is the only non-HRA part in the rifle.
All other parts are correct -65 (heat lot)

You could certainly "correct" the rifles by trading bolts. That may, or may not, be truly "correct".
If you do swap them be sure to check the headspace in both rifles after the swap.

Thanks cruiserdan,
I wasn't sure if I should. I thought it might be best to keep them as i got them from the CMP
.
I am new to "collecting" garands and still not sure if I am even going to. I first bought the Springfield only to shoot. I bought the second one (HRA) because I wanted one before they were all sold out.
Before I swap them I will buy the correct headspacing tools and read up on the process.
Thanks, again

I have traded a lot of bolts on M1
's and interestlingly all have headspaced in exactly the same place. Never had or noticed any red flags
I know your Mileage may vary
If it were me and I had the right maker for the right reciever, yes I would .... and have
But I'm just sayin

Would you swap them... or leave them be?

Matt, The HRA bolt ".U." would be correct for a 4.75 HRA rifle. A SA 6528284 A14 would be to late for a 4.29 SA. That heat lot (A14) would be for a 5.33 to 5.86 serial range. But I would still make the swap. The HRA will be correct and you can keep your eyes open for for a SA 65 series bolt with a A10 heat lot.
This info is based on Scott Duffs article "M1
Rifles 1952 - 1957" GCA
Journal Vol. 15, #2.
While the odds are very good that both bolts will headspace fine, you should still check. Better safe than sorry. Joe
