No1MkIII Regulated by Fultons

I have a No1MkIII target rifle with an AGP heavy barrel. It has been Ball Burnished, and is marked with the "regulated by Fulton's" stamp.

I was wondering if they would still have any records of when this work was done, and any other info on the rifle.

Would they still have theinformation, has anyone else tried this?

An historic anecdote states that G E Fulton's alterations to Enfield Rifles improved their accuracy so much that the official bulls eyes on targets had to be reduced in size, twice. Would that we were all such good shots and could make a claim to fame like that!

I tried contacting fultons last year about several of my target rifles.They said no records were kept.

That's a shame. Would have been nice to know how the rifle got from England to Vancouver BC.

Do I detect a possible serial number list coming up? lol, they do have a certain prestige, limited numbers, and being a combat rifle at the target range carries undeniable panache ...worthy of recording, perhaps ...

There was a time when a person could easily bring a gun from virtually anywhere to Canada. DCRA #1 and a few others were brought to Canada by a resident of Vancouver Island. I would guess a serious target shooter brought it before the word "gun" was thought of as evil by many. Got to be careful here I don't get POLITICAL.

We might need two lists, There's Fultons rifles and also Parker Hale regulated. Of those I've only seen No4's here in NZ,
