1903 Rebuild question.
Some years ago, I picked up a Springfield 03 with serial number 13287XX. It was a rebuild with the barrel a replacement. On the barrel it is marked U.S.
M.C. 1-44 and then a circle with an "S" in it. All the metal looks to have been reparked. The stock has the finger groove and two reinforcing screws. Could this be a Marine rifle? What is a price range in todays market? Just curious not looking to sell.

Your rifle may or may not be a USMC rifle. Presence of a USMC/1-44 barrel is no assurance of USMC issuance. Many late-dated USMC barrels were never used and were, subsequently, sold as surplus. Your rifle's barrel may be one of those.
Your rifle is probably worth in the $600-$800 range and perhaps more if reasonable USMC provenance can be established.
Hope this helps. Happy New Year!
