Hi c east
They'll stay as long as Jim leaves them on his host site. Photos posted with that method don't use space on the milsurp.com server, but they will go away if the person posting them deletes it from where they have it hosted. Sometimes the host site may purge photos and they're deleted too.
There's another means of posting photos where you upload them to be stored on milsurps.com's server and they will remain there. It's the method you may have seen that uses thumbnails.
I think Jim's post with instructions is very simple and informative. (I don't use the bolt tool often enough and it's always a chore for me)
He could post his photos and instructions on his photo gallery too, or possibly we can make it a sticky above if several people want to have the directions available.
Below is a link to the photo gallery function -
What is the Photo Gallery for Members?
I'm sure that Jim would let you have the photos if you asked him. But that wouldn't benefit everyone if they to have it available.

Charlie,
I took those pictures in about 5 minutes. It is just a simple basic way to show you how to check the firing pin and extractor. I was trying to get you to take out your bolt tool and practice. It is a little more complicated when taking the spring and plunger, and ejector out and reinstalling them. I figured after you got the hang of this you could tackle that.
I use photobucket. I think the pictures are bigger then using the thumbnails. Usually once I put them in an album there, I don't move them. So they should stay in the thread. But you know you can copy pictures off the threads and save them on you computer? Right click on the picture, left click save picture as, name the photo, hit save. It goes on your computer into your pictures. Then you can go into your pictures and do with it what you want. That is easier then using a bolt tool. You don't have to wash your hands afterwards.
But if you would like, I could just send them to you if you wanted.

Harlan,
I started out buying pouches trying to get five for each of my carbines. After I got them I couldn't find the 40 or so belts I needed to put them on. It just grew from there. I don't like the look of the pouch on a stock. I have only mounted one and took it off in a few days. Wasn't designed for that use either.
