    Barrel Band Marking

I can't seem to find this marking in any of my books. It is a closed diamond shape with the letter D inside.

    Donaldson if I remember correctly.
They were late WWII replacement parts (mid44- mid45)
At work, but off the top of my head, they were from St. Paul, Minnesota.

    USGI collector is correct.

Donaldson Company, Inc. of St. Paul, MN
Made as a replacement part from June 1944 to April 1945

Great seven page article on type 3 barrel bands in November 2009 CC Club newsletter #356.
