A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I guess the answer to that depends on the specific task at hand. For hunting i favor the Winchester HSP, for just blasting its the cheapest one i can get hold of. Cor Bon is high quality stuff but if they think i'm gonna pay $42 + shipping for 20 rds they're nuts.

I haven't bought any 30 carbine ammunition in a long time, except for the 200 rounds of Lake City ammunition that I bought at a club rifle match last summer. I usually "roll" my own for practice or matches.

The CMPicon sell Aguila For I beleive it is $250 for 500 rounds. I have heard it is a bit underpowered but it's always cycled my rifle for the few boxes of it I've shot. Like JDavid said I usually roll my own though I do have have about 900 of factory left. Look for brass at the range. the little devils seam to get lost a lot. I use 14.5-15 grains of WW296 pushing a 110-120 grain pill.
