Opinions on this No5 please
Hello all,
I would appreciate your opinions and comments on the finish of this No5. It's much different to my others.
Thanks

I've never seen one brush finished either

Something has been daubed on with a shaving brush. But a layer of some protection is better than no layer of protection

Was suncorite black like that, or is it black paint?

Difficult to explain the correct sunkorite finish but look at an example of BDL
's refinishing. This No5 looks like it's been painted with a shaving brush dipped in Valspar super gloss!
Sunkorite it a bit of a temperamental paint and has to be kept stirred to keep the particulates active and mixed but the after baking finish, it's a deep, black hard satin finish. Copied by many and many 'substitutes' but none (?) have succeeded

So I take it this is not good.
