Anyone seen PH sight knobs likethis?
PARKER HALE RECEIVER TARGET SIGHT? | eBay
The seller says that it is stamped parker hale, the lock nut is the TZ style, but any idea what these unfamiliar knobs are doing? Are these simply extended for height, or do they have a fancy increment/ detent system inside them? All very interesting.
thanks R

Nope - seen 'just a few' PH sights but have never seen anything like those.
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

The photo is a bit confusing as the detachable base is upside down as presently attached to the sight.
Don't know what it's from, but someone will. Definitely a factory job by the look of it.
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

Much changes, much remains the same.

The vendor says the "Parker Hale" is only on the stem of the eye piece.
The sight looks like a "Surrey" or one of the other types built by various gunsmiths around Bisley. Might be a Centra or other commercial manufacture.

Looks very much like a Wilkes or Swenson made sight for a Swing target Rifle!

Interesting with windage knob on l/h side, but still left side mount. Looks a bit smallboreish, similar lines to PH 2052 and PH 25 series with lyman style knobs.
